Oysters with Lemon & Garlic
Ingredients:- 12 oysters, shucked and on the half shell
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, minced
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a pan, sauté the garlic and shallots until they are softened. Add the white wine, lemon juice, heavy cream, parsley, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook the mixture until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Place the oysters on a baking sheet and spoon the sauce over them. Bake the oysters for 5-7 minutes, or until the edges start to curl and the sauce is bubbly.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
